Principal's Message
Hello! Welcome to Van Allen Elementary! I am so glad you decided to visit our website. Van Allen students and staff are some of the best out there. We pride ourselves on working hard and growing as learners. I am honored to be part of such an amazing school.
Van Allen has a student body of approximately 320 students. Our district's youngest learners are housed at Van Allen. The district preschool program has both morning and afternoon classes. All preschoolers start their educational career at Van Allen. We also serve grades kindergarten through fifth in our building.
At Van Allen, social and emotional student development is highly important, and empowering students to become independent contributing members of our community is a top priority. Our goal is to provide your child daily successful learning experiences, and we understand the importance and value of strong teacher-student relationships. We are uniquely enriched by having a dynamic student body supported by outstanding parental and community support.
The commitment of the students and staff at Van Allen is what makes us special. We celebrate our successes and use every opportunity we are given as a teachable moment. Whether big or little, we want our students to know that every achievement is worth acknowledging. The word we use at Van Allen is amazing. We are constantly building people up by recognizing each other's amazingness. That is what makes our school so special. The students and staff here feel appreciated, safe, and a sense of belonging.
