Marj Gibson Bio
serve as the District Librarian for all the schools in the MPCSD. Upon graduation from Danville High School and the University of Northern Iowa, I moved to the Chicago area to complete my Master's Degree in Library Science at Dominican University. I worked as a Librarian/Media Center Director in several suburban high schools and received awards for the Outstanding Educator.
My husband and I have traveled extensively (50 states, 67 countries, and all 7 continents.) I have worked at the Burlington Public Library, was elected to serve as Clerk of the Court in Des Moines County, and headed up a U.S. office for a printing/publishing mission near Brussels, Belgium. The Danville Library and Anne Frank Pen-Pal Museum take up my spare time.
I enjoy making books and information accessible to students and teachers. With the capable assistance of the library paras in each building, we are dedicated to bringing quality service and resources to the schools we serve.
